Are You Still Asking These Questions?

Please remember that the biggest part of our journey will be changing the mindset and so by starting off with a bad kind of attitude, you are not preparing yourself for change.

You are preparing yourself to fall into old cycles that don’t work. Another thing I want to ask you is: Are you still asking these questions?

Don’t set yourself up for failure by continually asking the below questions:
The mindset you have as you embark on body change is a huge component of your success. You have to watch the questions you ask. There are three questions we have found that increase your chances of not making a real lifestyle switch. We wanted you to know these questions, so if you are asking them you can learn why your mindset is set up to not be successful. Change these questions and it will change your outcome drastically.

Question 1: Will this work for me?

This question gives insight into what people believe about diet. A question like this illustrates that the person buys into the idea that somewhere out there exist a plan that really works and delivers consistent, linear results in line with the effort the person puts in. The truth is, no such plan exists. Body change is a process not a protocol. It is like the difference between learning to play an instrument versus learning how to change a tire. To change a tire only requires a few tools and then a repeatable consistent process that produces the same result every single time. Playing an instrument is not linear or predictable, does not result in consistent improvement, and the end is a constant moving target that you may approach, but can never actually reach. This is illustrated by the fact that masters in any field rarely consider themselves masters and are more interested in the process and getting better than arriving some place.

Instead ask:
Is this something I can learn practice & master overtime?

Question 2: What kind of results should I expect?

This question taps into the idea that hard work, willpower and determination are all that is needed and when applied always yield specific measurable results. Expecting a specific result is a setup for failure, because there is absolutely no way to predict your results. You are 100% unique genetically, metabolically, psychologically than everyone else. Therefore your results will be unique to you. You may or may not achieve better or worse results than your friends or family members.

Instead ask : What is the best mindset to adopt to increase my chances of moving in the right direction?

Answer= Adopt the mindset of a detective. Get curious and view all results, successes and failures, as clues that point you to solving the mystery of your fat loss formula.

Question 3: How long will it take?

This question shows there is no real purpose or passion behind what you are doing. This is a lot like saying how long will it take for me to become a world-class chef? Some people study years and cook their whole life and never reach that status. The idea that body change takes a certain amount of time is just plain silly. It takes as long as it takes. If you have a time set in your head, chances are you will be disappointed.

Instead ask : What's Next? By always asking what's next, you understand that this is a never ending journey that once you start, it does not end. The question "what's next" means you have become engaged in the process and not the outcome. Once you start asking "what's next", you have realized this is a journey not a destination and are on your way to mastery.
